Citrine is the yellow-to-amber form of quartz. Most pieces sold today are heat-treated amethyst rather than naturally formed citrine. Both are real quartz, but the colour story is different. Reputable sellers disclose treatment.
In traditional crystal practice it sits with the solar plexus and the part of life that has to do with action, confidence, and the courage to ask. It is the stone people reach for at the start of something new.
